Dear Establishment Republicans,
If you have to get up and explain that your party doesn’t stand for the exclusion of people from society based on their religion, because your party’s most popular candidate is calling for exactly that, you’ve already lost. You played a dangerous game of “hate the other, but not too much” in order to secure your political victories. It was only a matter of time before someone else came along and offered people the promise of unfettered hate. You created this monster. And now you can’t control it. You may have killed us all.
